Bye bye Mike
It’s with a certain amount of sadness that we (sort of) say goodbye to our star designer and developer, Mike Barker. Mike’s leaving Hull to seek fame and fortune, Dick Whittington style, in Leeds.
While Mike will now be based there, he’ll still be working on Definition projects, albeit remotely. We wish him the very best of luck – kettle’s always on here mate!

Viking FM
We pride ourselves on our close associations we have with many design and marketing agencies throughout the UK. We were particularly pleased recently to be approached by Viking FM – our local commercial radio station here in Hull. They’d heard good things about our work and have asked us to work in partnership with them on several upcoming web-based projects.
Naturally, we’re really very pleased indeed. We’ve already met several times and they seem like a very nice bunch of people! We’re looking forward to bringing our web expertise to the table in the near future.

JS Power commissions new website
We’re delighted to have been commissioned by JS Power Limited to re-design a new website for them. We’ve already been helping them salvage the mess left by their previous web provider and so were very pleased indeed when asked to commence a full re-design.
We can’t wait to get started – planned launch for the site is late September 2008 – look out for it!

How much is that e-commerce store in the window?
The UK internet shopping market is estimated to be worth over £21.4bn, and last year over 20 million people shopped online with nearly a third of them spending over £1,000, according to the OFT.
There are obviously rich pickings to be made for those who do it right. If ever there was a time to get into e-commerce, now’s the time!
However, the same study found that one in four web merchants do not understand the web shopping laws, making it imperative that your e-commerce foray is undertaken properly.
