Streamlinined communication saves the school time and money
We’d built Eastfield’s website a few years ago but it needed an update to reflect the school’s ever-changing needs. Particularly, communication with parents and interested parties was becoming ever more expensive and time-consuming. Also, the school needed to devise new ways to market itself to prospective parents, while also continuing to appeal to existing families. Finally, it was felt that content needed to be restructured in order to meet the needs of a changing audience profile.
We started by surverying interested parties to discover their exact needs and requirements. We restructured the site content completely, whilst giving the familiar visual look and feel a freshen up for the year 2006. We then recoded the entire site from scratch, thus reducing page weight by around 70% – the site now loads at lightning speed, resulting in much happier visitors! We prominently placed download links to the latest school newsletters and diary dates on all key pages, and created a powerful email newsletter database to enable effective communication. This strategy is solving a huge problem with wasted resources, saving valuable time and money.
