Mike Moulds (Director of MM Band Services) approached us late last year after a strong recommendation for our services which came indirectly via his accountant! Mike had had a website built for him already, at great expense, that was obviously unsuitable for purpose. Usability was poor, design was restrictive and some parts of the site just plain didn’t work.
He needed an engaging, visually impressive website that would actively encourage bands and tour operators to use his services. More than that, he needed a website which would compete aggressively in the highly competitive area he works in. The site had to be designed so as to appeal to a very specific target market.

We decided to tear up everything Mike had before and started afresh. In close discussion with Mike we learnt all about his business, his clients, the problems his business faces and how best to solve them. We first developed some simple wireframe designs (download PDF of the home page, listing page and detail page wireframes). These ensured we’d included all the required content and had a website that worked even without the fancy visual trimmings.
We then proceeded to transform the basic wireframes into visually-rich designs, developed into web page templates carefully tested across the full range of modern web browsers. We also undertook some search engine keyword research, optimising the pages for search engines, plus ensured that visitors with alternative browsing technologies would be able to easily access the content.
