Clear, usable navigation and search, with a rich visual appeal
Simple methods of accessing site content in multiple ways
Tasteful, modern imagery provides perfect backdrop for the content
Three Times Bigger approached us to help with designing web page templates for an ambitious website project, after a hearty recommendation (thanks Josh!). The site posed a challenge, potentially requiring large amounts of varied content – an online men’s magazine and forum promoting luxurious living and better health. They already had a site but it was looking tired and dated and in need of a visual reboot! Furthermore, making changes to the pages or performing routine maintenance was a pain. Finally, it was felt that the site visually could do a lot more to appeal to its audience, especially in suggesting luxury.
We firstly analysed the existing pages and found their existing layout to be fairly sound, especially considering the large amounts of content required for each page. We used that to create brand-new visual designs, in close conjunction with the client. We particularly enjoyed the friendly, productive two-way working relationship we quickly established – not easy considering a time difference of 8 hours and a distance of 10000km! We paid a lot of attention to creating flexible templates that would allow for a great deal of different content types. The resulting pages are also very lightweight (so are quick to download) and are highly accessible and search engine friendly.
